Update from Ambon plastic free!

Thanks to the support of AFAS Foundation we are able to continue working on our project: Ambon plastic free!

We are very excited to announce that we will replace the Litter Traps made with locally available materials with stronger ones made of recycled plastic. Together with the local community we will brainstorm and research which products can be produced with the plastic we retrieve.

AFAS Foundation supports CLEAR RIVERS to make Ambon plastic free!

We’re very excited to share this brand new collaboration. CLEAR RIVERS already started a pilot in Ambon island in 2017. The support of AFAS Foundation will bring us a fundamental step closer to reach our shared ambition: Making Ambon plastic free!

Glimpse from Budapest

A short glimpse of the installation process of CLEAR RIVERS' Litter Trap in Budapest. Last week we inaugurated the pilot project and the first Litter Trap in the Danube River. The retrieving device is positioned in front of the University of Technology and Economics in Budapest, Hungary. The project is the result of a wide collaboration between different international and local partners who have been working together for more than two years. The plastic that is being collected will be analyzed for its recycling potential to produce new and valuable circular products. Education and awareness creation will be a fundamental aspect of the one-year-long pilot.
